Rained all day Saturday, a very uncomfortable day. Sunday a much better day.

Today is our Jack Twomey - Anzac Day trophy, a stroke event plus “count ones putts”, which Steve Flood won.

Bexley golf course is holding up well, all bunkers are out of play.

We had 9 players & played 3 groups of three, with NO teams event, when Jack dropped out we had 2 x 4 groups

1st - 63 Santo (only player Par or under)

2nd - 66 Graham

3rd – 69 Steve Flood

Kerry lost a ball on the 3rd last hole & wiped his card.

Terry came in with a magnificent 84 (20 over par), so I think I am Mr Golf.

Bexley golf course was in better condition than I expected after all the rain, the Tees were still well forward.

We had 9 of our regular players plus 7 visitors, Craig & Shane among them. It was great to have them play with CAZNA again.

We played a 4 ball aggregate, won by Santo Andrew, Paul & Greg

Paul had 4 points or better on the last.

Bexley golf course was CORED during the week & on Saturday played a “3 clubs + putter” competition, plus the Tees were well forward.

We had 7 players (3 played in the competition & carried 4 clubs only, the other 4 played a stroke event as it was medal day.

Bexley was on the news Friday, as one of the suburbs hit hard with wet weather, Saturday started out pleasant but the sun came out & the humidity went up very quickly after all the rain.

Some of our members played in the Bexley Match Play

7 players plus 2 visitors (both of whom left after the game & did not attend the presentation)

Hi All,

Started the day with 12 players, Kerry was called away after 3 holes (one of his customers needed urgent help with a fridge/freezer)

I am very glad that Roger played as he finished with MR Golf, it would have been me, had a “Barry Crocker”

Weather wise, the day started out Ok with the cloud cover, once the cloud cleared the temperature rose quickly, with all the rain on the Friday the humidity went through the roof.

In my case I should have stopped at the 6th as I was gone.

A big week for some CAZNA members –

Santo became a GRANDFATHER to a boy

Herby is to have a major By-Pass operation

On the course, we had 13 players (I visitor off “0”), as we have the “longest drive” on the 10th his tee shot is on the fairway, about 20 meters short of the green (not unusual I took 3 shots to pass him)

Jack S had a huge day winning with 40 points, S Flood on 36 & Greg 35.

Do not know if Roger can be given “Mr Golf” as Kerry pulled out after 9 holes (said play was too slow) Bit much coming from Kerry :) :).

On a side note I and i'm sure all of you would like to congratulate Santo on becoming a grandad.

Hi All,

Welcome back after a long time off from updating the website. I have finally had the time to go through and sort out the Handicaps properly. If your handicap seems different from tomorrow its because I had been forgetting to take the extra of those who won.

Anyway the Winner of last week was Greg Snowden with 70 beating Mick Towell on a countback also 70. In 3rd position was Graham on 72.

There was 2 matchplays with Mick Beating Herby 6&5 and Jack S beating Terry 1up.

I can't play much at the moment due to my sons soccer but after that i'll be back.

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

Its been a while for an update, I almost forgot what to do.

Cazna had its first round in a while last week. There was 9 players to grace the fairways at Bexley. Still pretty wet I was told and it showed with some of the scores. Mick Towell won the day with a solid 37 in 2nd was Kez on 34 and in 3rd was Terry with 32.

Mr Golf was our President Santo with 25.

Please let Floody know if you are playing by Wednesday's now as he needs to tell the pro shop.

As for me I won't make it much this year as I've taken on Coaching my sons Soccer team. I'll still be doing the results and editing the website though.

This week was our Anzac day Jack Twomey Trophy week. The winner was ME with 60 beating Jack Kasses on a countback. In 3rd was Terry with 65.

15 Starters this week for our April Monthly medal. Paul O'connel won the day beating Jack Stirrat on a countback also 62 and in 3rd spot was Macca on 64. Paul also chose to put his score in for the Club Championship.

There was 2 Matchplays Paul beat Graham 5&4 and Steve h beat Floody 2Up.

Hi All,

9 starters this week after the no golf week last week due to Rain. 1 brave member turned up Paul what were you thinking?

George Won the day making it 2 wins from 2 starts meaning his handicap comes down to 4.2. In 2nd was Paul on 37 and in 3rd on a countback was Graham with 35.

Teams winner 3ball Multiplier won by Me george and Graham.

Happy New Year All.

A great showing for our first week back with 19 Starters for the first round of the year. This was also our monthly medal and the winner of the day was Eugene who blitzed the field with a great score of 58. unfortunatley he didn't declare it a Championship round so it doesn't count to his Championshiprounds. In 2nd was George with 61 also not Declaring a Championship round. In 3rd and did declare a Championship round was Crawley who shot 63.

Terry has today sent out the new amended Bylaws. Mainly the Handicapping system and the pins have changed so look out on the weekend for the new pins marked in Red with either 1-18 or 19+.

Mr Golf for the Medal Day was Mr Medal himself Ray Robbo.
